Tales of a junkyard Jedi

So for those of you paying attention I’m trying to reclaim my sweet little gamer score. I mentioned last time that I was playing through on the easy as pie game star wars the force unleashed. Thankfully I finally took down the fetish freak Vader and his pervy old master err… the master.
Well anyway thanks to an amazingly fun glitch my achievement at the end was actually just for playing on apprentice? I’m not sure how it happened because even if I started on apprentice I still changed the difficulty later to really freaking hard but hey who cares. Just means now I get the fun of playing the game again on super hard difficulty ….yay. Any who as I progress on this stress filled game of "OH MY GOD YOU CAN’T BE SERIOUS!" moments I have now arrived at Paratus.

This ugly ass freak is actually a lot harder than his termite body would suggest. The annoying thing is he’s another damn bad guy that knows I’m whoring out for achievements and he’s been dangling my hopes in front of me before smashing them with one of his many many arms. I got close a couple of times and it’s frustrated me to the point my heart almost burst out my chest screaming to beat him.

I know some of the secrets to get this punk beat down now so I’ll have to try again later. I’m so tired right now and I think my thumbs are blistering, I can’t cry anymore so I’ll definitely need a rest before trying it again.

Wish me luck folks!

My quest begins!

For a long time I considered not doing this but when I accidentally stumbled on a guys video on YouTube where he does nothing but talk about what toys he likes to play with I figured screw it I’m doing this.

A while back I had my gamer score wiped because I didn’t look before I clicked, it’s a long uninteresting story so we’ll just sidestep it. Anyway the score loss didn’t bother me so I continued to play but then it slowly nagged at me and now I’ve decided it’s time to make up the loss. I’m deleting and replaying all my old games in order to get back my achievements, there’s probably an easier way of doing it but I like this idea better.

star-wars-force

I’m starting the quest with an easy to play through game, with no annoying online game required achievements, star wars the force unleashed. I thought the simplest way to get this done was to play it through on the hardest difficulty first then collect all the other achievements on a nice easy level reducing my stress levels, I was wrong.star_wars_3prtinterv

Turns out that the nice guys over at Lucas arts decided that hard had to mean makes the player want to hurt things due to the pent up rage. I’ve already killed 6 times because of this game, anyway I’m now on the final level facing off against the worlds scariest asthmatic Darth Vader. I’ve faced this masked joker before and I could usually wipe the floor with him but I think he knows I’m out for achievements and he’s holding out on me…dick.

He keeps getting cocky and bitch slapping me with things around the room, the only reason I’m here just now is because I’m scared to play again in case my foot goes through the T.V. I think I’ve figured out the tricks though so I’m going to kick some metallic ass.

After this all I have left is the master and then a choice …sure hope I didn’t spoil the end of the game for anyone. Anyway the games biggest jump is over so after this crap it’s the usual kill this many people or use this many moves etc the collecting stuff always annoys me though so I don’t know if I’ll get round to it. If anyone wants to suggest the next game I should get achievements for let me know or let me know what you think about this section of the blog.

Right I’m off to kick ass wish me luck.

Deadpool Game

200px-Deadpool

The character that most people know from the Marvel comics, Deadpool and wolverine, is one of the many unsung Marvel anti-heroes with a strong fan base. The classic anti hero who now even has a role in the new wolverine movie is being considered for his own game by the producers of Wolverine: origins the game.

The smart mouth mercenary is loved by the self proclaimed fan boys of Raven software. An interesting choice as to date he hasn’t actually featured in any other marvel games than the ultimate marvel alliance one, as well as being recently announced for two, and x-men legends. In both cases Deadpool was hardly a main character and so it warrants the question why now?

The guys at Raven said they loved his “smart assed attitude” and they were “huge fans of Deadpool” making him the next obvious choice for a game. The guys from Raven continued to say that the Deadpool character in the recent x-men movie was good but not exactly the first choice they would have made. When asked about making their own Deadpool game the guys said they would keep the character 100% authentic to the comics. 382px-Deadpool11

The major question here however is can Deadpool pull off his own game? A fun character certainly and would be interesting to play, regarding his high tech weaponry and sword play, he would be like a happy go luck wolverine that found batman’s utility belt. Is that enough to have his own game? the character Deadpool had been given his own comic title that featured him as the main character but unfortunately only made it to issue #69.

Does this250px-DeadpoolYellowBoxes mean the Deadpool lacks the strength to gain interest and sales in his own game, personally I don’t think so. Deadpool is a fun character who could deliver hours of endless fun and seeing that he is one of the few comic characters to know he is actually in a comic it would be funny to this transferred to a game.

The only problem holding Raven have is trying to show that Deadpool is worthy to hold his own game title and if they can come up with a strong enough storyline to support it things should work out.  Not a game to be taken too seriously however I would imagine it being a lot like the recent Matt Hazzard game, fun game play filled with tons of wise cracks and parody. At the very least a Deadpool game would be worth buying just to give a break from hardcore gaming. At this point it’s no guarantee the game is actually going to be made but if the people at Raven have their way a Deadpool game will be quick on the heels of Wolverine.
